Jacquelyn "Jackie" Roys Clifton is an experienced Florida attorney with more than twenty years of legal practice. She grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and earned her undergraduate degree in Criminology from Florida State University before obtaining her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law. During law school, Jackie expanded her legal studies during a summer abroad at Oxford University in Oxford, England.
Throughout her career, Jackie has handled a broad range of legal matters and developed a reputation for providing practical, strategic guidance to individuals, families, and businesses. While her extensive litigation background has provided her with invaluable insight into dispute resolution and risk management, her current practice is focused on helping clients proactively achieve their goals through estate planning and other transactional legal services.
Jackie began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney, ultimately advancing to the position of homicide prosecutor. During her tenure as a prosecutor, she tried more than one hundred felony jury trials and gained significant experience handling complex legal issues. She later expanded her practice into civil and commercial matters, including contract law, business law, construction matters, ADA compliance, insurance defense, and family law.
Today, Jackie concentrates on estate planning, uncontested probate, and other transactional matters, helping clients protect their families, preserve their assets, and create thoughtful plans for the future. She works closely with individuals, families, and business owners to draft wills, trusts, advance directives, business agreements, and other essential planning documents tailored to each client's unique circumstances. Her diverse legal background enables her to identify potential issues before they become disputes, allowing clients to move forward with confidence and peace of mind.
In addition to her admission to The Florida Bar, Jackie is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
